Big dogs, small dogs and some in between, fluffy cats and short hair cats came to be blessed. Rev. Gratton blessed each animal individually and then there were photo opportunities to capture the special moment.
While dogs and cats are not known to share their space well, this group thoroughly enjoyed their time together, particularly the treats!
Pet owners socialized, told tales about their wonderful, wonderful,
wonderful animals and enjoyed an array of cookies and juice. There were
no worries about picking up any fallen food, the dogs were on duty and
they didn’t leave a crumb!

"Queenswood United Church Sunday School enthusiastically studied and enjoyed learning about the M & S Fund and found out how 13 children can make a difference to those in need.
Our mascot was our “Rainbow Bear” bank and the children eagerly deposited their collection in it every week. At the end of the study, we presented a wrap-up “MinuteS for Mission” during the worship service and gave the congregation a Sunday School lesson on the M & S rainbow symbol and the M & S rainbow hat which generated excitement for this project. In addition, our Rainbow Bear bank collected loose change at the end of the service. After seven weeks, the helpful bear had collected a whopping total of $467!"
This description corresponds to the photo of our “Spring Garden” using pictures of the children with the M & S hat on, as the centre of each flower. The second picture is a photo of the group with our Rainbow Bear.
